How to Use Natural Calcium Boost Spray

 

Shake well before use.

Spray directly onto leaves – especially the undersides – until lightly coated.


Apply early morning or late evening to avoid leaf burn.


Use once a week during active growth or when signs of calcium deficiency appear.

Putting on Top of Soil

  

Sprinkle a thin layer of crushed oyster shells on top of the soil around your plants.

Gently rake or mix the shells into the top layer of soil.

Tips:

This method helps improve soil structure and provides a slow-release source of calcium.

Apply once or twice a year, preferably in the spring and fall.

Putting a Small Amount Around the Base of the Plant

  

Take a small handful of crushed oyster shells and sprinkle them around the base of each plant.

Lightly work the shells into the soil with your fingers or a small garden tool.

Tips

This is particularly beneficial for young plants and seedlings support strong root development.

Repeat every few months for continuous benefits.

Mixing into Compost

  

Add crushed oyster shells to your compost pile or bin, mixing them in thoroughly.

Aim for a ratio of about 1 cup of crushed shells per cubic foot of compost.

Tips:

The shells help balance the pH of the compost and provide essential minerals.

Turn the compost regularly to ensure even distribution of the shells.

Putting Dust into a Spray Bottle

  

Fill a spray bottle with water and add a small amount of crushed oyster shell dust (about 1 teaspoon).

Shake well to mix the dust with the water.

Spray the mixture onto the leaves and stems of your plants.

Tips:

This foliar spray can help provide a quick boost of calcium to your plants.Use this method sparingly, as too much calcium can cause leaf burn.
